Office Ruzafa

The new mar plus ask office is located on a bright corner ground floor in the Valencian Ruzafa district. The transformation makes a contemporary interpretation of typical features of the neighbourhood. Due to the intense sun on both facades, metal gates were designed as brise-soleil for the facade holes against the strong summer sun. The height and depth of their design are calculated to only allow the oblique winter sun rays to get inside and heat up the floor. The facade holes are framed on wood inside, hiding the window glass frames. Continuous terrazzo floors and a full wood-panelled wall for the kitchen, bathroom and storage area help provide a simple reading to a space that provides everything needed.
